Simply Artificial Intelligence provides a great introduction to the history and high-level concepts needed to understand what AI is and how modern neural networks are built. It's not incredibly in-depth but it serves as a way to become more informed about AI even if you do not have any technical experience.

System Design Interview – An insider's guideby Alex Xu(4.5 ⭐)

A must-have for any software engineer. It may require multiple read-throughs but doing so will provide you with a very solid understanding of the system design process.

The Three-Body Problemby Liu Cixin(5 ⭐)

An absolutely incredible hard sci-fi. This made me fall in love with sci-fi again :)

The Dark Forestby Liu Cixin(4 ⭐)

I think the first half of this book is nowhere near as thrilling as the last half but it's still so good! I think Liu's biggest weakness is writing female characters, but the sci-fi continues to hit hard.

Death's Endby Cixin Liu(5 ⭐)

The end of this book made my brain so happy. An incredibly satisfying ending to one of my favorite sci-fi series.

Between Two Firesby Christopher Buehlman(4 ⭐)

Overall a fantastic novel, I think there are a few pacing issues (or maybe I have issues with the pacing is better way to phrase it). But an absolutely fun read, satisfies some of my Bloodborne craving, and has some incredible character development.
