It's a great achievement and when you read the account you are with him all the way. However, unless you are nautical, a lot of the technical jargon can be lost on you. However, this doesn't spoil the account. If you are in to real-life accounts of adventure, this is a great book. This feat took place just before the advent of GPS, mobile technology etc. One of the last great adventures.
